Lakeland's Fox Cities Center staff recently assisted with Fox Valley Tech's Girltech summer camp by providing an engaging activity for approximately 50 girls ages 9-13. Girltech is a week-long camp at which the girls participate in hands-on activities with computers, welding, science and more, all taught by professional women.
The Fox Cities staff tasked the girls with who could build the highest tower that could hold a tennis ball using only straws and masking tape. The staff also talked to the girls about higher education.
