Lakeland College student Katie Christenson last week became the final musician of the academic year to share her talents during the popular Coffee House series.
Christenson’s show, during which she played the keyboard, concluded the 2015-16 series, which also featured Lakeland students Jacob Nault twice (keyboard, vocals); Melissa Landgraf (flute); Malcolm Blakley (saxophone) and Tia Pribbernow (who performed vocals with the help of Siera Ramirez).
The Coffee House Series, initiated by the college’s Student Success & Engagement Office, gives Lakeland students with music skills opportunities to perform on stage in front of peers, faculty and staff in the 1862 Lounge.
“The Coffee House Series was a great opportunity to showcase some of Lakeland’s very talented musicians, as well as provide co-curricular programming during the day to be enjoyed by the entire community,” said Lisa Stephan, Lakeland success and engagement coach.
“We are thrilled with the level of support and attendance throughout the year, and look forward to another successful Coffee House Series next year.”
