A group of Lakeland College student leaders received pins to commemorate their roles as student organization presidents during a white tablecloth luncheon and ceremony in the 1862 Lounge on Monday.
Due to class and other obligations, not all of the presidents of Lakeland’s more than 40 active clubs and organizations could attend the President’s Society Pinning Ceremony, which coincided with the national President’s Day.
The event, hosted by Lakeland’s Student Success and Engagement Office, began with a few words of thanks and an invocation from Eric Blacknall, the college’s dean of students. After lunch, the following student presidents received their pins: Christian Gillaspie, Aviation Club; Kyle Green, LC-CAB; Quintin Hale, Criminal Justice Club; Airiss Hargrow, Beta Sigma Omega; Karen Lerindo, Global Student Association; Jessica Luecke, Student Activities Foundation and Accounting Club; Callie Olson, Student Athlete Advisory Committee; Natasha Robinson, Pi Kappa Gamma; and Zach Petrowsky, Spanish National Honor Society.
